Since 1988, the Society has hosted an annual awards banquet at the Roger
Williams Park Casino in Providence, Rhode Island. The banquet is
traditionally held the week before Labor Day. We have honored labor
historians, women in the labor movement, Rhode Islanders who have left the state
and made their mark elsewhere; unsung heroes and heroines in the working class,
and those outside of the labor movement who have been our allies. This has
been our most popular event, drawing crowds of several hundred yearly. |
